We’ll release something completely different on vinyl in september.
Have a listen right below (it’s also out now digitally on Itunes, Spotify…) :
VOLVER is a band from Liège, Belgium. We totally fell in love with the band as soon as we heard the title track of the record “Beautiful Sad Stories”. A year ago, they released a video for a previous version of the song (the EP version has been reworked) :
But the band has a brand new video for the song “Bunker Hill” :
We have promo CD’s available for reviews. They’re also for sale at the price of 3 euro (CD in papersleeve). Get in touch if you are interested in receiving/buying a copy.
As usual, thanks for your support!
We are happy to welcome RAVAGE RITUAL from Seinäjoki, Finland, to our growing family! We’ll release their first full length “Soul Eater” on August 29th, in partnership with the fine people at Swarm Of Nails (France) and Sell Your Soul Records (Germany). Stream the song “Fortress” below :
Coming straight from one of Finland’s darkest and isolated place, RAVAGE RITUAL is now ready to unleash “Soul Eater”, their first full length album. Born in 2011, they quickly released a first demo, followed by an EP, “Revival”, and a split with Teething, each one showing a stronger will to play the most radical hardcore, tinted with H8000′s legacy of violence and Holy Terror metallic approach. But the others influences that can’t be ignored on this record are the context and conditions behind it : written during fall and winter, those nine songs perfectly illustrate the dark, desperately cold and esoteric atmospheres that reign during this period, pushing this album further than the now classic black-hardcore game.
More news about the release coming soon!
I’ve always been a fan of melodic punk-rock and I couldn’t be happier to work with this talented and hard-working Dutch band that are THE 101’S!
Here’s the first song (and video) from their upcoming new album “For The Years” that will be released March 14th. We’ll be handling the vinyl version along with White Russian Records, No Reason Records & No Panic! Records. More details about the release will be available shortly.
Here’s what White Russian Records has to say about the album:
Dutch punk rock outfit The 101’s have finished the recordings for their full length album, the follow-up to their well received “Annihilation” single, hailing from 2012. The album, entitled “For The Years” was recorded at the end of 2013 by Robin van Loenen, known as songwriter and frontman of the Dutch award winning rock band Destine, and as producer and co-writer for many talented and award winning artists and songs. “For The Years”, containing 11 punk driven songs in the style of Red City Radio, The Story So Far and The Loved Ones, has been mastered by Troy Glessner, known for mastering jobs for genre defining bands like Propagandhi, Anberlin, August Burns Red, UnderOath and MxPx.
The album will see the light of day on March 14th 2013, on CD and LP, and will be released by White Russian Records, who previously released the Annihilation single as well. I For Us Records (No Guts No Glory, Nine Eleven) will take care of the Belgian release, No Reason Records (Atlas Losing Grip, Astpai, This Is A Standoff) will take care of the Italian release and No Panic! Records (River Jumpers, Crime In Stereo) will handle the German release.
The first single Chances is available now, and comes with a great video, capturing the band’s energy, and shows what big sing-a-long choruses will do to the crowd. It has been shot by Niels Bourgonje, known for his work with the hard working Dutch band John Coffey.
The band will present this punk rock gem during a show with label buddies The Lowest Standard and Call It Off, at a free show in Altstad, Eindhoven, on March 14th.
“This new album is 100% ‘us’. It’s about our growth as human beings and as a band, and is our first real full-length album. We decided to work with Robin to mix things up a bit, and get out of our comfort zone, which proved to be a great thing! Musically the new songs fit in with the tracks we released on our single Annihilation.” bass player Mark Welten says.
Preorder information for the CD and limited edition coloured vinyl will be put online soon. Prior to the release the band will be performing a bunch of new songs at the White Russian Records showcase on January 16th, at the Crowbar in Groningen, during the annual Eurosonic/Noorderslag festival. Entrance to this showcase is free.
